A question to the collective experience of the board, suppose I take my Mog (406) overseas and at the end of a couple of years I decide to bring it back, (IF).
Anyone know the bolt or thread size for the front two holes on a Schmidt
plate on the MB4/94? I have a plow I'm trying to attach, and I need to
source a couple bolts for this...
thanks

The telescoping hydraulic cylinder on my 416 dump bed will not go
down all the way. It had been up for three days, and when I tried to
put it down, the bottom two (larger diameter) cylinders would not
slide down. I had someone try jumping up and down in the bed which
helped a little, but it still did not go all the way down. I raised
the bed several times, but it kept stopping at the same place on the
way down. The cylinders look clean, and the fluid is not that old.
Any suggestions? Please don't tell me it has to be rebuilt!
I know this should be a an obvious answer to a veteran to NWMF but I'm
heading down from Seattle and it seems like every year I turn off of I5 at
different points. But the first 2 years we went to browns point and the
3rd year I was at the ocean .. So In terms of avoiding traffic Is there a
recommend way? I just remember the endless stop lights just after I5
before it opened up before the farm. I know I could make a bunch of
pissed off people and cut across farm fields but the idea is to get there.
We are "taking care of business" here in CO. We have visited many folks including local moggers like Ron DePugh.
I have posted new photos on http://www.billcaid.com/2010/HogHunting20100323/Part29/Part29.html that include some interesting truck photos.
We are heading east from here, back to see Rob Pickering in La Junta and from there, southwest back to San Diego. We will not be attending NWMF, it is just too far to go in a short time.
Paul sent me a question last night about Camper Mog which is likely of general interest, so I figured I'd post my response . . .
"Hi Mike: Out of curiosity. How much are you hoping to get? Paul"
Does anyone have interest in 24" rims with 8 lug bolt Unimog bolt pattern?
I could deliver to NWMF. I don't recall the width but I think it's like 10
to 12 inches wide.

Hey all,
I have transported my recently acquired 1955 GM TDH-4512 Transit bus to the
NWMF property and remembered something that is on the short list.
The bus came originally equipped with 20inch SPLIT RIM's...which are in
great shape but I'm not about to slap new impossible-to-find 20" rubber on
those death machine rims.
SO, I'm looking for some good used rims/rubber or even some bare used rims.
Steel is fine...but currently the rear (dualy single axle) are aluminium if
ya know anyone in need :-)
Got a set (dual rear's on a single axle and front) of 22.5 laying around or
kno
I'm looking to get my hands on a four bolt style camshaft driven air compressor for the OM352, if any one has one they would like to part with please let me know.
