My 416 has always been missing the cap on the steering wheel so I decided to fix that little issue with some aluminum plate and my favorite CNC mill.

Kelly,
You could have a little side-business, turning out those little bling-
items for other 406 and 416 owners!
Please give it a thought...!

Thanks to all who asked about the steering wheel nut cap. Right now I'm fine tuning everything so it's still in development for a couple weeks. One thing I do need help with is the dimensions of the hole in the steering wheel. Since I only have the one 416 to measure, it would be nice to get a collection of data with respect to year, model, etc. So for anyone who asked about it you can send me the info measured from your steering wheel. Include the inside diameter of the hole to the closest hundredth (0.01) or better with a micrometer. Also include the outside diameter where the cap will be flush with the mating surface of the steering wheel and the depth of the hole from the top of the steering wheel to the top of the nut or steering shaft- whichever is higher. Save some bandwidth and send it to me off list..

My target price is $25.00- $30.00 USD Aluminum polished or possibly painted black? Comments or suggestions encouraged. I'm also thinking of things for Pinz, Haffie, Volvo, etc
I also have a few things in the top secret development bunker coming up later this summer depending on workload.
Thanks,
Kelly
